Protective Covenants

FirstPark has Protective Covenants in place so business owners know that their investment is protected with strict performance standards. FirstPark has a Design Review Committee which will meet with a business to review their total project plan, including building design, sign design, and landscape design. This Committee will work with businesses to ensure a seamless transition. FirstPark has an Executive Director on-site to make sure that construction and maintenance are managed effectively and efficiently. A full copy of the Covenants may be viewed or printed.

Technology and “Smart Park®” designation

Maine has more than 65,000 miles of fiber optic cable and 100 percent digital phone switching technology in place and has become a telecommunications leader.

In addition to Maine’s broadband infrastructure, FirstPark is the only designated Verizon SmartPark® in Maine. From the moment you move into FirstPark your business has quick and easy access to a wide variety of communications services including wireline and wireless services, long distance, integrated voice, data and video network capabilities, and high-speed internet access. SmartParks® are built on a foundation of conduit systems and state-of-the-art-networks that provide total communications solutions that you won't outgrow.

FirstPark is served by an onsite Virtual Central Office connected to self-healing interoffice Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) rings. This provides a reliable redundant network designed to eliminate service outages and expedites recovery. Critical communications will be instantly rerouted should a problem occur. SONET technology is further assurance that the highest quality most reliable data voice and video services are available at FirstPark.

The SmartPark® development's network is always monitored for optimal performance in a state-of-the-art Network Operations Center (NOC). The NOC is staffed 24 hours a day, year round and is so advanced, that most situations that could intrude on your service are detected early and acted upon quickly- usually before they ever know there might have been a problem.
