Workforce Data
Maine’s Department of Labor has the ability to provide workforce data in a number of different formats for analysis and projections. The spreadsheet links below are a few we created for your first-run analysis. Others can be requested as needed.
The sheets provide information on the two counties of Maine where the majority of workers (over 90%) would come from to work for a business in FirstPark. These sheets provide a number of useful demographics for consideration. In addition, there are four different sheets for different LMA’s (Labor Market Areas) for a different view of the workforce available for FirstPark businesses. These four sheets are further summarized to provide a broad overview of towns and cities in the four-LMA area. These four combined provide data on 65 different cities and towns.
What this data will show you is that there is an ample supply of workers available to serve the needs of businesses that come to FirstPark. These workers have a variety of education and skills background. With state training incentives and FirstPark incentives, we’ll have a workforce trained for your needs when you open your doors.
If you would like to look at data in a different format, these sheets can be downloaded from our site for your own analysis purposes or, you can explore the various reporting tools on the Maine Department of Labor website and through the Center for Workforce Reporting and Information. If you need a specialized report not available, please contact us, and we can have it prepared for you.
In addition you may find two recent reports from the Maine Department of Labor of interest. There is a report on the Maine Employment Outlook to 2018 and also an overall report on the Maine Labor Market in addition to several others.
